OUR TEACHERS

Janine Holley
Janine, owner of Alchemy Yoga, has been practicing yoga for over 30 years and teaching yoga continually for the last 20 years. She draws influence from many traditions and has a long list of teachers to whom she is grateful. Her introduction to yoga was in the Iyengar tradition and her original teacher training was with Baron Baptiste in 2003. Her inspiration has always come from her students and she offers a safe and challenging class with a focus on alignment and breath. She believes that the value of yoga lies in its ability to create strength and openness in the body and steadiness in the mind. Janine has also studied and practiced astrology counseling for 30 years and believes that both yoga and astrology are incredibly valuable tools for self-knowledge. Rawley Dworetz
After years of rigorous exercise and athletic endeavors, Rawley stumbled into a heated power yoga class in 2012. He left feeling a lightness he never imagined possible. He has practiced under the tutelage of master teacher Maybelle Rowntree since 2015 and honors her with his teaching and practice. He has completed 200 hours of training with Jared McCann at Lighthouse Yoga School as well as 350 hours with The Baptiste Institute. Rawley believes that the best teacher is the best student. You can expect a vigorous and direct class with your breath as the music. His intention is to safely strengthen and lengthen every muscle in your body, as well as calm the mind and continue the journey toward inner peace and self-discovery.

Ashley Nichols
Ashley is a 500-hr RYT, first receiving a 200-hr certification from South Boston Yoga, then completed the next 300 hours at Rishikesh Yogkulam in India. Yoga came into her life during her college years and quickly became her daily outlet for unwinding and sorting things out. The yoga asana or postures are what initially hooked Ashley, but once she fully immersed herself into the practice, the change in perspective and self-inquiry is what further drew her in. Her practice has been constantly evolving and though she is now a teacher, she still considers herself a student with endless knowledge to gain.

Mark Howell
Mark has been practicing yoga regularly since about 2006. His practice is informed by continuous focus on alignment, breath flow, and drishti. Coming to yoga as an adult, Mark believes that the growth and development of the mind and body are always available. Mark sees calmness as a means to becoming open to those new connections. In his sequences, the transitions, the journey into stillness is key to that growth. He is among the first to receive Alchemy’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification.

Margaux Holley
Margaux’s path to yoga was much like that of many others: she was very skeptical of yoga after her first class, following that class she resisted developing a regular yoga practice, at some point between then and now she became totally addicted to it, and now cannot imagine life without it. Margaux teaches a dynamic vinyasa-style class to a carefully-curated upbeat playlist. She encourages her students to personalize their practice, and offers plenty of variations and modifications for inspiration.

Pam Howell
Pam loves yoga. She brings yoga into most everything she does in life. It is not just a physical practice, but one that infuses her way of life. She enjoys bringing people to yoga and watching how the practice of yoga improves all aspects of health: mind, body and spirit. She herself has been practicing since 2003 with Janine Holley and received her Teaching Certification under Janine’s mentorship in 2021. Pam also enjoys practicing Hatha Classical yoga and brings its focus of relaxation and mindfulness into her classes.

Justina Waschuk
Hailing from Alberta, Canada, Justina began her yoga journey in 2010. With a background in competitive sports, she sought a new challenge that could be fun, rewarding, and less demanding. Justina fell in love with the practice’s physical challenges, focused breathing and introspective meditation that cultivates present-moment awareness. Quickly recognizing yoga as a potent mental and spiritual healing modality, Justina sought the necessary training to share it with others. She has studied under Baron Baptiste, Kim McMullen, Bernie Clark, Michele Theoret, and others. Most recently Justina completed a 500-hour YTT with Sri Dharma Mittra. Justina is a graduate of the Alberta College of Acupuncture & TCM and includes acupuncture and Chinese medicine in her holistic wellness offerings. With over a decade worth of teaching experience, Justina is excited to share her offerings with the Alchemy community!
